The IPA provides financial support in the form of grants and interest-free loans to help its members furthertheir careers. Applications can be made for Research Grants, Candidate Loans, and Travelling Scholar Grants.
International Events
Our two flagship events – the IPA Congress and the Asia-Pacific Conference – provide members with a platform to present their ideas as part of the scientific programme. Our events team provide full support throughout the proposal submission process.

Expand your International Networks

Journal Club
Our online clinical discussion groups and journal clubs provide members with an opportunity to explore a topic together in a relaxed collegial setting. At the end of these sessions, members usually produce a paper about their experience and their learning which is published on the IPA website.
Committees
The IPA has more than 100 committees that are at the very heart of helping the IPA to achieve its strategic objectives. Our committees work in a variety of areas and we encourage members to join a committee that fits their interests to share their expertise and to learn from others.
International Congress
The IPA’s biennial international congress is the largest gathering of psychoanalysts bringing together members from all over the world to explore contemporary psychoanalytic issues. Members and candidates receive discounted rates and access to exclusive sessions.
